My OB recommended I take these supplements while pregnant and nursing. This is a great solution for getting your daily DHA since you don't really want to take Fish Oil pills while pregnant, nor eat too much mercury-ridden fish. Finally a good alternative; now I know I'm not missing this critical substance for my growing baby!

My wife has been using this since she was pregnant. It was suggested by an officemate. I do not have a yardstick on how it has affected our baby's growth and development except for comparing him with other babies but it makes sense that they both need DHA anyway so i hope its helping them both.

This supplement already gets rave reviews quality-wise so I thought I'd just share my experience w/ their customer service. I had some obscure questions I wanted to be clear on regarding prenatal supplementation. They provided educated answers but to be sure they put the lab team to work to research it and find answers. They seemed interested in my questions and enthused to find out more to help me. Doctors aren't scientists and can't answer everything, so its great to have a company that understands the importance of having questions answered when it comes to ensuring a healthy pregnancy.

I have been taking the Expecta Lipil DHA softgels for about 5 months now (I am currently 7 months pregnant)and plan on continuing them during the entire time I breastfeed. I've done tons of reading about DHA and know it will benefit my child, while in the womb and beyond. I LOVE the price of the double pack from Amazon, it ships quickly and I've never had an issue with the expiration date (I just received another double pack today and the expiration date is 1 Feb 2011 !) As another poster stated, the blister pack can be difficult to manage at first but becomes a mere annoyance once you perfect the *nail puncture* to the back of the pack. I wouldn't suggest puncturing them all in advance since they tend to get sticky once they're out of their pack.
